Central Australian Healthcare in the Twentieth Century

In a wide-ranging interview, Dr. John Boffa, the Chief Medical Officer – Public Health, Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, and G.P., talks on a number issues. Topics include background to the establishment of the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress and its health activities, the services offered by Congress and Congress’s approach to health including multidisciplinary care. Dr Boffa also discuss the gains and risks in Closing The Gap, key social determinants of health – particularly until age five, and he also has advice for clinicians about working with socially disadvantaged clients.
